After my years in Athens at UGA, I decided that whether I went south to the Coastal Plains or north of Atlanta, I couldn’t imagine building my life anywhere other than the beautiful state of Georgia. I moved to Ellijay, where I now live on a multigenerational cattle farm with my husband and two children. We also travel to rodeos together, and after criss-crossing the United States, I feel fortunate to live and work in one of the most picturesque settings imaginable.
One of my favorite things about our area is that there truly is something for everyone. Outdoor recreation abounds and you can be as adventurous or low key as you like. The north Georgia areas offers hiking, rafting, beautiful lakes to boat and fish, as well as plenty of state parks to explore. We have quaint towns that look like they’re out of a Hallmark movie, beautiful farm land, and orchards that give Ellijay the title of Apple Capital of Georgia. I love hearing what brings people to this area. Whether you’re looking for a new home for a growing family, a vacation getaway in the mountains, or so many other possibilities, I’m sure your time here will be an adventure, and I look forward to being a part of that.
